Janmashtami Puja Vidhi: Janmashtami 2024

This festival’s puja vidhi is very important because Laddoo Gopal’s birth is the focus of all preparations. To ensure that you get the most out of this puja, we have provided a detailed puja vidhi below: 

  • Take a bath early in the morning and put on fresh clothing.
  • Decorate Laddo Gopal’s palna, and clean the shrine with Pure Gangajal to begin the puja preparations at night. 
  • To begin the puja, observe dhyan (meditation). Place the Sri Laddo Gopal’s idol on the palna with respect and love. devotees can also use a wooden chowki in place of a palna.
  • Padya is the act of offering Gangajal to a deity’s feet. Offer arghya to the Laddo Gopal’s feet.
  • Offer water to the Lord and then drink it, it is called achman.
  • Pour the Panchamrit (made with milk, curd, honey, ghee, and gangajal) over the idol to perform the Lord’s snan ritual.
  • Take all five ingredients and use them as prasad for Panchamrit.
  • Decorate Shri Laddo Gopal with new apparels and accessories which is called the deity’s shringaar. 
  • Give the holy janeu to the Lord. After that, offer Chandan paste on deity’s head.
  • Adorn the idol with a beautiful bansuri, mor pankh, jewels, and a golden crown.
