His family was a well-off Brahmin one. His parents planned his marriage when he was 11 years old, but he had other ideas and resolved to become a sadhu (Saint) who wanders. At last, though, he went back home to start a comfortable married life at his father’s insistence. He had 3 children were a daughter and two sons.

Death Of Neem Karoli Baba

September 11, 1973, saw the death of Neem Karoli Baba in a hospital in Vrindavan, India, at 1:15 AM. His death was due to a diabetic coma. Before he died, he had traveled by night train from Agra to Kainchi, near Nainital. He had chest discomforts on the way, so people ( Bhakts of Maharaj’ji’s) took him to Agra heart specialist. However, he began experiencing seizures at the Mathura railway station and he requested transportation to Shri Dham Vrindavan on his one of early Ashrams. after this tragic incidents he finally left his holy mortal body at the hospital in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh.

Neem Karoli Baba Ashram Kainchi Dham

In India, there is a famous spiritual site called Kainchi Dham which is in Uttarakhand, India. The founder of the ashram was a man of ordinary appearance who had amazing spiritual abilities. He went by Neem Karoli Baba, and his moniker came from the Indian village where he was first found before the nation became independent.

Neem Karoli Baba found himself in the first-class section of a train without a ticket. His holiness was unknown, so the British ticket collector told him to get off the train at the next stop. When Neem Karori Baba got off the train, it stopped moving forward. After realising his mistake, the ticket collector asked Maharaj-ji to forgive him and get back to the train, and everything returned to normal.

  • Distressed by this event, Sri Neem Karoli Baba discreetly got off the train by ticket collector and he took refuge beneath a nearby tree. To everybody’s amazement, though, the engine driver tried to accelerate the train, but it wouldn’t move.
  • Several inspections later by the driver, the train was found to be in excellent operating order. Then, because he had taken out a holy man, Indian passengers aboard the train told the ticket collector that the train would not move. Although initially dubious of such ideas, the ticket collector chose to call Sri Neeb Karori Baba back onboard the train out of embarrassment.
  • Remarkably, the train began to move again as soon as Sri Neem Karoli Baba quietly got back on board.
  • That incident led to the construction of a real station and named after Maharaj-ji’s name. Neem Karoli Baba became well-known for his healing powers and carried out numerous more amazing deeds until his death in 1973. His samadhi was built in Sri Vrindavan ashram.
