Who was Baba Ram Dass?

Once a prominent Harvard psychologist named Dr. Richard Alpert, Ram Dass’s life took a radical turn in 1967 when he traveled to India. There, he met Maharajji, a meeting that dissolved his ego and transformed his understanding of consciousness. Renamed Ram Dass (“Servant of God”), he returned to the West to become a pivotal influence on global spirituality, blending humor, deep intellect, and profound devotion to guide millions toward their own inner divinity.
